Transponder Timing

Transponder timing is available for all events.  Transponders will be handed out (on the day). Transponders must be handed back at the collection point as you finish at Hall Park.

The Mandurah Island “Schools” Challenge

The Peel Health Campus Foundation is challenging schools to enter as a team. All schools that enter participants in the swim, run/walk and paddle event will be eligible for some great prizes. The school with the highest percentage of participants will win $500 worth of sporting equipment.

The Mandurah Island “Corporate” Challenge

The Peel Health Campus Foundation is challenging businesses to enter as a team. All businesses that enter participants in the swim, run/walk and paddle event will be eligible for some great prizes. The business with the highest number of participants will win the Mandurah Island Challenge Corporate Shield.

Parking

Parking will be available at Hall Park. Access to the park will be via Mary St and Leighton Place.  Please follow the directions of the parking marshals on the day. A gold coin donation will be collected on the day with funds going towards a local service club.

Other Important Information

  • Entrants under 18 must have a parent/guardian to sign the entry form
  • Participants with disabilities are welcome
  • Animals (or other pets), skateboards, bikes (motorised or otherwise) or rollerblades are not permitted on the course due to the possible risk to participants
  • Entrants must obey the directions of Police and Officials at all times

Results and Awards

The first 3 male and female participants in each category will receive a medal and the fastest in each will receive a prize. There are $5,000 worth of sporting goods from Mandurah Sportz for participants. Results will be posted on the event website and will also be displayed in the local newspapers.

Health Information

  1. Dehydration can be potentially lethal, particularly if you over-extend yourself in hot
    and/or humid conditions. However, your body can still overheat even if climatic
    conditions are only moderate. Ensure you drink plenty of water throughout the day
    prior to the event and drink early in the event before you become thirsty. Stop, walk
    or at least slow down at drink stations to allow adequate rehydration. DO NOT
    compete if you have had diarrhoea within 48 hours prior to the event or are suffering
    from a viral infection or feeling unwell.
  2. If you feel distressed, disorientated, dizzy, or excessively tired, SLOW down or rest
    for a while. If you do not improve WITHDRAW.
